34 yo female with persistent neck pain, HA and nausea exacerbated after adjustment

  1. Positive Romberg’s test and dizziness with pupillary light response.
  2. Upper limb hyperreflexia.
  3. Recumbent MRI showing mild tonsillar ectopia.
  4. Adverse reactions to standard cervical adjusting.

 

Answer:

All of them!  Each of these findings pointed to neurological sensitivity and adverse mechanical tension, suggesting that traditional cervical adjustments could worsen the patient’s condition. Modifying care to first reduce sympathetic dominance and dural tension was essential for safe and effective treatment.
