47 yo female presents with numbness of the left lateral biceps and left dorsal hand
Linda Simon, DC
47-year-old healthy female currently under active care for cervical spine fixations and suboccipital muscle spasms presented with new symptoms of numbness over her left lateral biceps region and left dorsal hand, onset a few days prior.
The patient stated that she woke up “a few days ago” with the numbness and it has been steady since. She denies any new trauma to her neck, shoulder, elbow and hand. She has no past history of numbness or injury in this region. She has no current diseases or illnesses except for the neck pain and slight headaches for which she is under Chiropractic care in my clinic. She has responded well to cervical spine treatment and is recovering from her cervical spine issues after having 4 visits. This patient is not on any medications and has no young children at home. She works with her husband in his Video production business and has had no history of work related injury or repetitive use injury.
Question: What examination procedures will you perform in your clinic to differentially diagnose this patient?
