47 yo female presents with numbness of the left lateral biceps and left dorsal hand
Linda Simon, DC
Since from the examination, there is no indication of nerve root compression at the cervical spine, nerve compression outside the cervical spine should be considered.
Dermatome evaluation indicated that due to the inconsistent nature of the pattern of numbness, this is probably not a nerve root compression but more likely a nerve compression distal to the cervical spine.
Question: Which nerves could be compressed associated with the cervical and/or brachial plexus that could become trapped in upper extremity soft tissue structures or between soft tissue and bone?
