Flexion/extension x-rays and possible MRI to rule out lumbar disc herniation.

Specific testing to rule out systemic inflammatory issue.

Imaging Findings:

She was cleared of any systemic arthritic process such as ankylosing spondylitis, psoriatic arthritis, and RA with testing by her MD.

She had been evaluated by her MD, who ordered standard standing lumbar X-rays, which revealed degenerative disc disease of the lumbar spine. No other imaging diagnostics had been done before referral. She did not have a flexion/extension X-ray of the lumbar spine or an MRI.
