Considering that the numbness and tingling in his arm does not follow a dermatome pathway nor does it follow a specific nerve pathway, it is less likely that this patient is experiencing a nerve compression or elongation distal to the cervical spine, and more likely a compression of his neurovascular bundle.

 

Question: To rule in Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, what functional tests would you perform on this patient?
