18 yo male patient with R sided leg swelling, bruising and pain
Brett Kinsler, DC
The diagnosis is a pathologic fracture of the right distal tibia, secondary to a non-ossifying fibroma.
The patient was referred to an orthopedic surgeon who performed a bone graft to close the lesion as well as a casting of the fracture. The orthopedic surgeon confirmed that the lesion was solitary and that there was no evidence of further lesions. The patient’s mother contacted the office the following week inquiring about her son’s tumor and its possible health implications.
