Treatment

Aortic and cardiac valve anomalies are the most critical manifestations so referral for a cardiac work up is essential. Treatment is typically focused on addressing the individual manifestations. Physiotherapy and spinal manipulation are indicated in the management of the spinal pain. Although there is enlargement of the IVFs, there is no evidence in the literature of increased risk of traumatic or spontaneous fracture. Muscle relaxants and pain medication may be employed. Surgical excision of the perineural cyct can be considered if the pain is unresponsive to conservative care.
