Consider a full assessment of the cervical spine and jaw including ranges of motion, orthopedic evaluation and neurological evaluation.

Physical Examination Findings:

Cervical ranges of motion are moderately limited without pain. Cervical Compression Testing is moderately positive for local pain without radiation. Tenderness and spasm is noted in the sub-occipital muscles. Neurological testing is negative. Palpation of the jaw indicates pain bilaterally at the posterior ramus anterior to the mastoid process, right more sensitive than the left. In performing the VROM (vertical range of motion) evaluation of the jaw, right deviation upon opening without palpable click occurs at 20 mm open with a deviation of 4 mm. Fixations are noted in the right TMJ, right occiput and C1 on the right. This patient also had many cranial faults.

Question: Given the Diagnosis, what is the most likely cause of this patient’s pain?
