Sagittal T1 and T2 weighted images were ordered of the cervical spine along with axial gradient echo images.  Unfortunately, the doctor did not order the use of gadolinium and the axial images did not go high enough to include the C2-3 level.

The report for the above images stated that there was an oval mass along the left side of the spinal canal at C2-3 that was low signal on T1 and high signal on the multiecho images.  These findings may be consistent with neoplasm or malignancy.
