Recertification Requirements for Holistic Nurses
Successful completion of 100 contact hours of Continuing Education in Holistic Nursing within the five years period preceding the date of expiration of the certification period. At least twenty percent (20%) of the contact hours must directly address Holistic Nursing. The remaining contact hours can be related to holistic methods of practice; studies that facilitate self-care and growth; and transformation within a holistic context. Appropriate documentation of continued education (certificates of completion) must be submitted with application for Recertification.

CE Requirements for RNs: 24 hours of appropriate continuing education during each renewal period
Florida Accepts 24 hours of Online Continuing Education Courses
Special Requirements: One (1) contact hour is required for each calendar month of the licensure cycle, including two (2) hours on Prevention of Medical Errors. HIV/AIDS is now a one-time, 1-hour CE requirement to be completed prior to the first renewal. Domestic Violence CE is now a 2-hour requirement every third renewal.
