Recertification Requirements for Holistic Nurses
Successful completion of 100 contact hours of Continuing Education in Holistic Nursing within the five years period preceding the date of expiration of the certification period. At least twenty percent (20%) of the contact hours must directly address Holistic Nursing. The remaining contact hours can be related to holistic methods of practice; studies that facilitate self-care and growth; and transformation within a holistic context. Appropriate documentation of continued education (certificates of completion) must be submitted with application for Recertification.

CE Requirements for RNs: CE not required
CE Requirements for LPNs: CE not required
Special Note: IF applying for renewal or reinstatement after an absence of active practice of 5 years, successful completion of a board-approved Reorientation Program for RNs or LPNs or completion of twenty contact hours of continuing education directly related to nursing practice within the two (2) year period immediately prior to such application for renewal or reinstatement of the nursing license must be completed. The 20 hours of continuing education may be earned on-line.
