65 yo female presents with left posterior medial knee pain leg weakness and hip pain

This patient must have the fibrosis in the IT Band attachment to the greater trochanter reduced. Friction Massage and trigger point ultrasound or cold laser are affective in addressing the fibrosis. Strain Counterstrain is best for this long strap muscle to reduce contractions. Cold laser or ultrasound is best for the local pain reduction at the posterior medial knee. Russian stimulation along with strengthening exercises are best for atrophy of the quadratus femoris. Stretches for the iliopsoas are effective. This patient needs manipulation to her anterior pelvis, lumbar spine and hip.
