Both the galvanic current and pulsed ultrasound exit the sound head. The galvanic current is the diagnostic aspect finding the regions of increased resistance aka adhesions and fibrosis in the muscle known as a trigger point. The pulsed ultrasound using high intensity sound waves set not to produce heat is the therapeutic aspect which helps dissolve the adhesions, softens the soft tissues and releases adhered fascia and nerve sheaths.

 

This patient made a full recovery.
