Robert Clyde Affolter, DC

Dr. Robert Clyde Affolter Dr. Robert C Affolter completed a B.A. (1977) and M.B.A. (1978) at the University of Kansas. After graduating, he worked for IBM for three years. He resigned his position as associate systems engineer in 1981 to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic. While attending Palmer, Affolter took extra-curricular courses in Grostic, Pierce-Stillwagon, and Logan Basic techniques. He was an intern for Dr. E. L. Crowder, who took over B.J. Palmer’s office when B.J. retired. He also began his teaching career as a lecturer for the PCC chiropractic technician program. After graduation, he became a lecturer in the College of Business and Economics at Western Washington University. He opened his chiropractic practice in Bellingham, WA in 1985. The practice grew from a 700 square foot office to 1800 square foot, two doctor office by 1995. Since 2002, he has maintained a real estate license and helps friends and relatives with their real estate investments. One of his sons is a general contractor. As an author, he has published three books:  Improving the Odds - From the Crapshoot of Manipulative Therapy to the Innate Chiropractic Adjustment (2002) The book provides his insights into the philosophy, science and art of chiropractic along with an overview of seven chiropractic techniques;   From Paint Rags to Riches – Becoming a Real Estate Millionaire (2004); Exposed The "Science" of Medicine and the Dollars It Generates and Exposed How Politics Increased the Cost of Health Care in America (e-books in 2009). He combined them as Dupe ‘em and Dope ‘em. He presented papers at the International Research and Philosophy Symposiums in 2005 and 2006 and at the ICA's Conference on Philosophical Chiropractic Standards in 2004 and 2005. He was part of the technique panel which updated the clinical practice guidelines, "2003 Clinical Practice Guideline: Vertebral Subluxation in Chiropractic Practice." Chiropractors have enjoyed his insights for years. On April 2, 2018, Dr. Affolter presented at the Philosophy Forum in Seattle for the fourth time. In addition to his private practice, real estate, writing and speaking, he is also offering consulting service through Affolter Academy, LLC ( which offers non-degree and non-continuing education training and insights to help professionals reach their potential.

Shawn Allen, DC

Dr. Shawn Allen Dr. Shawn Allen is a 1995 graduate of the National Chiropractic College, now National University of Health Sciences (NUHS). He completed his post-graduate in-house residency in orthopedics at NUHS in 1999 and prior to that graduated with his first bachelor of science degree from the University of Waterloo (Ontario, Canada) in kinesiology. Dr Allen works with a broad base of patients including Olympic, professional, para-professional, collegiate and All-American sprinters, distance runners, swimmers, marathoners, gymnasts, dancers (ballet, modern and ballroom), football, baseball and Olympic distance, Sprint and IRONMAN tri-athletes. His private practice is in Westmont, Illinois a suburb of Chicago. He is a postdoctoral instructor with the University of Bridgeport Health Sciences Postgraduate Education Department and a postgraduate instructor with OnlineContinuingEd, LLC. He has lectured nationally on foot-ankle, gait biomechanics and orthopedics. He is a regular lecturer/speaker for many fitness, coaching and healthcare companies. He is a former chiropractor for the Chicago Joffrey Ballet professional dance company, former physician for Newman/Haas Indy Car Race team (the late actor Paul Newman) and Team Physician and consultant for many private athletic teams. He, along with Dr Ivo Waerlop authored the textbook: Pedographs and Gait Analysis: Clinical Applications and Pearls, along with numerous articles on lower extremity and gait mechanics. They also founded "The Gait Guys" in around 2009, a national and internet presence gait information resource and consortium where they blog and podcast weekly.


Dr. Michael Allen likes to tell his patients that their doctor is 100% homegrown! He is the Healthcare Director of Allen Chiropractic, PC, and the Founder of HealthBuilderS®, the educational branch of Allen Chiropractic, PC, both located in Lake Forest, California. He has been serving the people of Southern California since graduating with honors from the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic in 1977. He is licensed as a Doctor of Chiropractic (DC) in California and as a Naturopathic Medical Doctor (NMD) in Arizona. He has received four Diplomates: The International Board of Applied Kinesiology (DIBAK), the American Board of Chiropractic Neurology (DABCN), the Chiropractic Board of Clinical Nutrition (DCBCN) and the American Academy of Integrative Medicine (DAAIM). Dr. Allen also developed The New Mother's Program of pre- and postnatal nutrition for a nationally recognized and professionally focused nutritional supplement company. Dr. Allen has served the International College of Applied Kinesiology (ICAK) as the International Council's Vice-President and a two-year term as its President, overseeing 18 chapters worldwide. He has also served as the Secretary, Vice-Chairman, and Member-at-Large of the United States Chapter of the ICAK. He has most recently served the International Board of Examiners (IBE) as its examination secretary and neurology consultant. Dr. Allen has been the Neurology Editor for the International Journal of Applied Kinesiology and Kinesiologic Medicine. He was awarded the Goodheart Award, “the Georgie” for a lifetime of service to the ICAK. He also received The Key to the City of New Orleans as an Honorary Citizen, and he is an Honorary Member of the German Medical Society for Applied Kinesiology (DÄGAK). He is a past Member of the esteemed International Chiropractic Knights of the Round Table (1983-2008) and he has twice applied to NASA to be a Mission Specialist onboard the Space Shuttle.

Bryan A. Born, B.S., D.C.

Dr. Bryan Born Dr. Bryan Born graduated with honors from Parker College of Chiropractic in 1991, and has been in full time practice in a 3-chiropractor office with his wife and father since then in Southfield, MI. In 1993 he was asked to develop and teach the pathology and pharmacology curriculum for a massage therapy institute in Michigan, which at the time was on the vanguard of education in the U.S. for that profession. He went on to develop curriculum for massage schools from coast to coast, and in 2005 published The Essential Massage Companion: Everything You Need to Know to Navigate Safely Through Today's Drugs and Diseases. The quick reference guide is a 552 page comprehensive text covering over 500 diseases and 3,000 medications. An internationally recognized speaker, Dr. Born has lectured multiple times for the Michigan Chiropractic Convention, AMTA National Convention, the AMTA Teacher's Conference, the Canadian National Massage Convention, and 14 other state massage conventions. He has been teaching for since 2008. He is also an advocate for homeschooling, having co-taught his two teenage daughters with his wife through their entire school careers.

David M. Brady, ND, DC, CCN, DACBN

Dr. Brady Dr. David Brady has 28-years of experience as an integrative medicine practitioner and over 24 years in health sciences academia. He is a licensed naturopathic medical physician in Connecticut and Vermont, is board certified in functional medicine and clinical nutrition, a Fellow of the American College of Nutrition, and completed his initial clinical training as a doctor of chiropractic. He currently serves as the Director of the Human Nutrition Institute and Associate Professor of Clinical Sciences at the University of Bridgeport in Connecticut. He maintains a private practice, Whole Body Medicine, in Fairfield, CT. Dr. Brady is also the Chief Medical Officer for Designs for Health, Inc. and Diagnostic Solutions Labs, LLC. Jake Cooke, MChiro, MScAPP, DACNB, FEAC

Dr. Cooke Dr. Jake Cooke graduated from the AECC in 2009 and passed the American Chiropractic Neurology Board exams in 2014. In 2021, he completed his Masters in MSK Neuroscience with a focus on chronic pain and dizziness/balance disorders. He’s the current Chairman for the European Academy of Chiropractic’s neurology special interest group, with the goal of showing how neurology can be used to improve your assessment, treatment, and outcomes. 

Neurology lies at the heart of movement, balance, posture, and pain. Jake’s goal is to make neurology simple and useful, not only for the weird and wonderful cases, but for every patient you see in practice. Neuroscience helps us to understand and explain what our patients are experiencing and how to help them. Neurology doesn’t need to be a complex subject, full of hard to read and remember words and pathways. It can be taught in a way that is logical, easy to learn and apply.

Leanne N. Cupon, DC, DACRB, DABFP

Dr. Leanne Cupon Dr. Leanne N. Cupon graduated from the Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport , IA during 1996. Prior to moving to Georgia, her professional time in specialty practice, concentrating in rehabilitation and forensics, was divided between serving as Director of Quality Assurance and Compliance at the multidisciplinary Spine Center in Bethlehem, PA and doctoring in her own facility, Penn Jersey Chiropractic & Rehabilitation Clinic, PC in Phillipsburg, NJ. She is one of the first women chiropractors to have completed the Forensic Science and Manipulation Under Anesthesia Certification programs. Recently she attained board certification from the American Chiropractic Rehabilitation Board. Dr. Cupon is a chiropractor with focused interests on rehabilitation and prevention, and the treatment of personal and work?related injuries as it applies to chiropractic. Her practice is family oriented as she enjoys working with children and adolescents, as well as adults. Dr. Cupon's forensic work includes second opinion examinations. Social Security disability determinations, and impairment ratings. Determination and selective educational pursuits are a requisite for patient care in an evidenced/outcome based era of managed care. Her extensive background in rehabilitation and forensics provides a rare perspective on documenting and instituting present and future care for the patients under her care.

Debra Dent, BPT, Dip Manip PT, OCS, FCAMPT

Dr. Debra Dent Debra Dent is a Physical Therapist with 40 plus years of experience specializing in manual therapy of the spine. She is a graduate of the University of Manitoba, Canada where she received her Diploma of Physiotherapy in 1977 and her Bachelor of Physical Therapy in 1979. She was certified as a Part A Manual Physical Therapist from the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopaedic Division in 1989 and received her Advanced Diploma of Manual and Manipulative Physiotherapy in 1994, and was a Fellow of the Canadian Academy of Manual Physical Therapist (FCAMPT) until retiring 2019. APTA Orthopedic Certified Specialist (OCS) designation was completed in 1996 and recertified in 2006 and Emeritus status was received in 2016. She has been teaching Physiotherapists since 1989. Debra was an instructor for the Canadian Physiotherapy Association Orthopaedic Division prior to moving to the USA in 1993. She was a guest clinical instructor at the University of South Florida from 2003-05, teaching the Spinal Manual Therapy Program. Debra has taught many live manual therapy courses in the US, Canada, and the Caribbean through Cross Border Seminars, Cross Country Education/VYNE Seminars, and TLC Physical Therapy and Rehab. She wrote the Segmental Stabilization of the Lumbar Spine for Northeast Seminars Online programs. She has also written Proximal Imposters, a four-part series with for Occupational Certified Hand Specialists in 2017. She has an online presence in Canada on and in the UK on Physiopedia with numerous courses and videos. She has also written online courses for the general public called Breathing Essentials on and that relate to breathing-related dysfunction and core dysfunction.

Michael Epitropoulos, DC, PhD

Dr. Michael Epitropoulos holds a Doctorate of Chiropractic degree as well as a Doctorate of Applied Clinical Nutrition degree. His training is extensive including medicine as well as specialized training in Applied Kinesiology, Contact Reflex Analysis, and Energy Medicine. He has been a contributing writer to 2 books as well as several natural health publications and taught clinical nutrition at colleges in North Carolina, Michigan, and Florida. He speaks all over the country and is a featured speaker at Chiropractic Conventions teaching Doctors how to incorporate Natural Medicine in their practices. He has hosted popular radio shows on natural healing in both Florida and Michigan. He has been practicing Chiropractic and Functional Medicine for well over 35 years and currently is in private practice in Ormond Beach Florida where people come to him from all over the U.S. because of his work in Natural Medicine. Joseph Ferezy, DC, DACAN, FIACN

Dr. Joseph Ferezy Dr. Joseph Ferezy is a native of New York City, New York.  He received his Doctor of Chiropractic degree in 1982 from Northwestern College of Chiropractic (NWCC), where he also received certification in meridian therapy (including acupuncture).  Dr. Ferezy later completed a two year residency in Clinical Sciences (Neurology) and later served as an instructor and ultimately at the rank of assistant professor at NWCC.  Dr. Ferezy is a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Academy of Neurology and a Fellow of the International Academy of Chiropractic Neurology.  He is author of the chiropractic textbook, “The Chiropractic Neurological Examination” by Aspen Publishers.  Dr. Ferezy has published many professional articles, and was awarded a 2nd place “Best Scientific Paper Award” by the American Chiropractic Association Journal of Chiropractic.   Dr. Ferezy has been the program coordinator and lead lecturer for the Neurology Diplomate Programs for Northwestern Health Science University, New York Chiropractic College, University of Bridgeport Chiropractic College and Palmer Chiropractic University.  Dr. Ferezy has been the key speaker at hundreds of professional lecture engagements including several international engagements.  He has served as a test developer and proctor for the Minnesota Board of Chiropractic Examiners and as an expert witness for the State of Iowa.  He currently serves as President of the International Academy of Chiropractic Neurology (IACN) and was past president of the International Board of Chiropractic Neurology (IBCN). Gregg Friedman, DC

Dr. Gregg Friedman Dr. Gregg Friedman is a 2nd generation chiropractor and is a 1986 graduate of Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, now Southern California University of Health Sciences. He received a Bachelor of Science degree from Arizona State University. Dr. Friedman has practiced his entire career in Arizona and has been teaching continuing education seminars to chiropractors on the subject of documentation for many years. Dr. Friedman became certified in 2004 by the American Board of Independent Medical Examiners and performs record reviews and Independent Medical Examinations for both plaintiff and defense for personal injury, workers comp, malpractice and state boards.

Kirk Gair, DC, IDE

Dr. Kirk Gair, DC, IDE Dr. Kirk Gair, DC, IDE graduated with honors from SCUHS in 1999 and was the first-person Dr Datis Kharrazian did a functional medicine workup on clear back in 1996 while they were classmates and friends. He started using non thermal, low-level lasers in 2004 after attending a Dr Dan Murphy seminar and being amazed at the results he experienced being treated with lasers at that event. With his unique combination of lasers, chiropractic, and functional medicine/neurology, he has treated Super Bowl champions, World Series Champions, NL MVPs, College World Series Champions, Gold Medalists and World Record Holders, as well as weekend warriors and non-athletes. He was featured in the documentary The Thyroid Secret and The Human Longevity Project for his work with lasers to support patients with auto immunity symptoms and was in the Tae Bo workout videos as an athlete and fitness expert. Karen Gardner, DC

Dr. Karen Gardner Dr. Karen Gardner graduated from Life College in 1993. She has two practices; one is within the walls of a local birth center and cares for dozens of moms to be each and every week.  Although she is considered by many in her community to be a pregnancy and family care specialist she enjoys caring for the entire family. For more than two decades, Dr. Karen Gardner has diligently worked and studied the mechanisms of breech and transverse presentations, pregnancy and delivery and has written two books on the subject that can be found in chiropractic offices and schools around the world.  Among dozens of other locations, Dr. Gardner has guest lectured at The University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing and Chestnut Hill Hospital in Philadelphia on the importance of Chiropractic care during pregnancy, labor and the postpartum period. Dr. Karen has, on more than one occasion, been a featured guest speaker for the American Association of Birth Centers (AABC) on Optimal Fetal Positioning at Penn State and other locations.  She also spoke for the Florida Chiropractic Society on Prenatal Chiropractic care during their "Pediatric Extravaganza" in Palm Beach, FL.  Dr. Karen has been invited to speak at the Philadelphia Conference for Midwifery Today Magazine and is continually featured in many chiropractic, pregnancy and midwifery publications.

Joshua Goldenberg, ND

Dr. Joshua Goldenbert Dr. Joshua Goldenberg Dr. Joshua Goldenberg is a researcher, teacher, naturopathic doctor and founder of Dr. Journal Club, LLC. He is most passionate about the interplay of evidence and clinical practice. Dr. Goldenberg is an active researcher with numerous publications in high impact scientific journals such as JAMA, Annals of Internal Medicine and The Cochrane Library. His research focus includes irritable bowel syndrome, probiotics, evidence-informed practice, and research methodology. He is a Research Investigator at the Helfgott Research Institute and Visiting Research Scholar at the University of Technology Sydney. He has presented nationally and internationally on evidence-based medicine as well as probiotics and research methodology. His probiotics work has been highlighted by the BBC, The New York Times, The Seattle Times, Prevention Magazine, and Fox News.Dr. Goldenberg is a passionate educator and is faculty for the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine's Interprofessional Fellowship in Integrative Health and Medicine, where he teaches critical evaluation of the literature and evidence-informed practice. He is past adjunct faculty at Bastyr University, his alma mater, in which he enrolled after receiving honors and distinction in molecular biology from the University of Pennsylvania. He also guest lectures widely. As a naturopathic doctor Dr. Goldenberg focuses on integrative approaches to irritable bowel syndrome as well as other gastrointestinal complaints working in concert with patients' conventional gastroenterologists.In 2014 Dr. Goldenberg created the medical education website in order to share his passion for the interplay of evidence and clinical practice with the larger integrative medicine community.

Kristen Bobik Halland, DC, DABCA

Dr. Kristen Bobik Halland is a functional medicine practitioner who helps people feel their best and live life fully - by using only natural and conservative treatment. She owns a multi-disciplinary practice in the suburbs of Chicago. She maintains multiple teaching appointments for both Continuing Medical Education courses and Anatomy & Physiology courses at her local nursing college. Dr. Halland is a graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. She continued her education through National University of Health Science’s Acupuncture program to attain both the diplomat (D.A.B.C.A.) degree and a board-certification in Acupuncture. Additionally, Dr. Halland has numerous certifications in nutritional protocols and hundreds of hours of continuing education in functional medicine.

Alan Hickey, N.C.T.M.B. Florida L.M.T.

Alan Hickey received his certification in Massage Therapy from Emerald Coast Massage School, Fort Walton Beach Florida, in June of 2004, his national certification from the National Certification Board of Therapeutic Massage and Bodywork (N.C.B.T.M.B.) and his state of Florida license to practice massage in Jan 2005. Since Jan 2005 he has continued his education in massage by becoming certified in infant massage, hot stone massage, pre and post pregnancy massage, sports massage, and several other massage modalities and techniques. He is currently enrolled in Oklahoma City University as a senior pursuing a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Professional Studies with an emphasis in Business. He just completed a sixteen month massage instructorship in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma where, in addition to teaching massage, he became involved in curriculum development, course scheduling, marketing and promotion, spa area/services development and design, and massage business applications for the nationally certified school. He is currently involved in the Oklahoma coalition for massage licensure for the state of Oklahoma. Prior to teaching massage, he directed the creation/operation of a day spa in the Destin Florida area that included contributing to the design, building, equipping, and day to day operation of the spa. As Corporate Vice President and Spa Director, his duties included equipment purchase and installation, hiring and management of all personnel, marketing and promotion to include print advertising, televised publicity, and numerous special events. He designed and published the spa menu and all printed material for the spa. He performed massage therapist duties at the spa. His own personal versions of the Hot Stone Massage and Couple's Synchronous Massage, with two massage therapists performing identical massage movements and techniques in perfect unison, set the standard along the Emerald Coast of Florida. He practices as a massage therapist in the Oklahoma City metro area and in several of the surrounding cities throughout the state. Some of his Modalities/Techniques include; Swedish, Deep Tissue, Pre and Post Pregnancy, Infant, Thai, Sports, Hot Stone, Neuro-Muscular Therapy, Trigger Point, Reflexology, Lymphatic drainage, Spa Clay/ Mud/ Algae/ Seaweed body services, Aromatherapy treatments, and Hawaiian Lomi Lomi. His plans include publishing a book in early 2008 that will take massage therapists step by step through the arduous journey of opening their own spa business. Jennifer Illes, BSc, DC, MS

Dr. Jennifer IllesDr. Jennifer Illes is a dynamic communicator who brings over 15 years of combined clinical and academic experience. She is a graduate of New York Chiropractic College and her experience includes treating professional athletes with sports related injuries. She is well experienced in extremity evaluation and management, spinal adjusting, nutritional application, and women's health and wellness. Dr. Illes currently serves as an associate professor at Keiser University's College of Chiropractic Medicine in West Palm Beach, FL. She has been teaching clinical technique, assessment and management classes. She holds roles as the current FACA president, and ACA Rehab Council faculty advisor.

Gary Italia, DC, PhD

Dr. Gary ItaliaDr. Gary Italia has been practicing chiropractic for 33 years and nutrition and exercise for even longer. He is a state licensed chiropractic physician as well as a state licensed nutritionist in Connecticut. He has bachelor’s degrees in human biology and exercise science, a master’s degree in Human Nutrition, a Chiropractic degree from National College in Chicago and a Ph.D. in Nutrition. His Ph.D. concentration was in anti-aging and using nutrition and lifestyle to slow the aging process. He also attained two chiropractic diplomate board certifications in neurology and nutrition. He has acquired multiple certifications in the health, nutrition, and fitness arena such as a certified strength and conditioning specialist (CSCS), a certified clinical nutritionist (CCN), a certified personal trainer, a certified medical exercise specialist, a certified martial arts instructor, a certified functional training specialist and a certified MMA conditioning specialist. He is also certified in acupuncture as well as detox acupuncture.

He has significant teaching experience instructing master level college students as well as chiropractic physicians. Specifically, Dr Italia has taught nutritional therapeutics (nutrition and disease) and sports nutrition in the master’s program at the University of Bridgeport as well as teaching with a private seminar company. In terms of chiropractic practice, he maintains two multi-disciplinary chiropractic centers in the state of Connecticut. He practices nutrition with both patients and fitness/martial arts club members where he is consultant. He is a former competitive bodybuilder and martial artist, who has worked with elite bodybuilders, boxers, wrestlers, and martial artists. He has practiced kickboxing and martial arts for over 34 years. He has been a team physician for various organizations including karate and bodybuilding teams, including the American Bodybuilding Team. He still enjoys and actively trains in jujitsu, boxing, kickboxing and MMA.

Warren T. Jahn, DC, MPS, FACO

Dr. Warren T. Jahn Dr. Warren T. Jahn graduated from the National College of Chiropractic (NCC) in December 1976. He was one of the first orthopedic residents in chiropractic and was the first acting chairman of the department of orthopedics at NCC's Patient and Research Center. Brett L. Kinsler, DC

George Kukurin, DC

Marc G. Lawson, D.C. QME

Dr. Marc LawsonDr. Marc G. Lawson graduated with Bachelor’s Science degree in Physical Education / Sports Medicine from San Diego State University in 1984 and received a Chiropractic Degree from Cleveland Chiropractic College in 1987. Jan Martensen, DC, PhD, DACBR

Dr. Jan Martensen is a cum laude 1984 graduate of Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Ia. He did his internship in departments of chiropractic technique and radiology and residency in diagnostic radiology at Palmer College in Iowa. Following residency Dr. Martensen entered private practice of radiology in 1988 in Toledo, Ohio where he still remains. Richard P. Saporito, DC, FACO

Dr. Richard Saporito earned his bachelor degree from New York University in 1976 and graduated New York College of Chiropractic in 1980. Dr. Saporito joined the faculty of the University of Bridgeport School of Chiropractic (formerly the University of Bridgeport College of Chiropractic) in 1991 as an adjunct professor. He served as the director of postgraduate education for 10 years before accepting a full-time appointment and is currently a tenured, associate professor of clinical sciences. Virginia Norris Schafer, D.C., M.D., MBA

Dr. Virginia SchaferDr. Virginia Schafer DC, MD, MBA , Life graduate 1980, had several successful practices in Georgia and South Carolina and is now semi-retired. She is now hydro farming in South Alabama and writing freelance. Dr. Schafer has been teaching and lecturing to health care professionals for over twenty years. Paul R. Sherman, DC

Dr. Paul Sherman Dr. Paul R. Grant Shapiro, DC, MCS-P

Dr. Grant ShapiroDr. Grant Shapiro, maintains a Chiropractic family practice in Chandler, AZ. He attained his general BSc from University of Manitoba (Canada), and his DC degree from Northwestern College of Chiropractic in 1997. Dr. Dean Smith Dr. Dean Smith is an Associate Clinical Professor in the Department of Kinesiology and Health at Miami University. Jeffrey Swift, DC, DABCN

Dr. Jeffrey Swift earned his chiropractic degree at the National University of Health Sciences. He completed an internship and Diplomate degree in Neurology from Logan College of Chiropractic. He currently holds post-graduate faculty position at the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut, and continues work in post-graduate education for doctors of chiropractic. Dr. Swift is a consultant for the Massachusetts Board of Chiropractic Registration, as well as NCMIC the largest malpractice insurance carrier for chiropractors. Dr. Swift serves as Impartial examiner for the Massachusetts Dept. of Industrial Accidents. Dr. Swift specializes in treating musculoskeletal pain related to the spine, as well as radiating pain in to the arms and legs. He utilizes his post graduate training to integrate chiropractic manipulation with current medical treatment of spinal disorders.

David Taylor, DC, DABCN, FIACN

Dr. David TaylorDr. David Taylor obtained his DC degree from National University of Health Sciences and completed the post-graduate program in the Neurology Residency program at Logan College of Chiropractic. He earned his Diplomate from the American Board of Chiropractic Neurology. He was awarded a Fellow from the International Academy of Chiropractic Neurology and the International College of Chiropractic Neurology. He currently serves on the executive board of the ICCN. Dr. Taylor was the founder and president of Multimed Center, Inc, for 30 years. He was the first chiropractor in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts to own a multidisciplinary practice that employed chiropractors, anesthesiologist/pain specialists, physiatrist, osteopath, physical therapist, physical therapy assistants, massage therapists, acupuncturists, and psychologists. Dr. Taylor was also the president of Healthcare Review & Consulting, Inc., a medicolegal consulting company, and the owner of Pioneer Neurodiagnostics, a neurological testing and consulting company. He was appointed by two governors to serve on the Massachusetts Board of Chiropractic Examiners and has served on the board of directors of the Mass. Chiropractic Society, examiner for the National Board of Chiropractic Examiners, and served on the test evaluation committee. He has also served as a fellow of the Federation of Chiropractic Licensing Boards, as chairman of credentialing and quality improvement for Spine Managed Care, and as consultant to many insurers. He has lectured internationally, published numerous research papers in various peer reviewed journals, served as a peer reviewer for a number of journals, and authored the text “Chiropractic Hospital Privileges” for the Massachusetts Chiropractic Society. After serving as clinic director at Texas Chiropractic College, he currently serves as a full professor of clinical sciences and continues to serve as adjunct professor in the post-graduate department of many other chiropractic colleges.

Todd Turnbull, DC

Dr. Todd Turnbull Dr. Todd Turnbull graduated from Life University in 1991, Dr. Turnbull has maintained a sports practice focused on helping athletes unleash their full potential. He completed the Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician program at Palmer University in 2001.  Dr. Turnbull has been post-graduate faculty for several Chiropractic institutions, has developed online courses for, and has written numerous articles about concussions, sports performance, soft tissue diagnosis, rehabilitation and disc herniations.  Dr. Turnbull has spent his chiropractic career developing and refining treatment protocols that identify and correct neuro-muscular dysfunction quickly, and stretching techniques to maximize athletic performance. This has led to the creation of PreActive Stretching (SM) and Myotonic Facilitation Technique.  In 2016, Dr. Turnbull developed the Visual Error Scoring System for evaluating traumatic brain injuries. Jim Ventresca, D.O.M. (NM), Lic. Ac. (MA), Dipl. Ac. NCCAOM)

Dr. Jim Ventresca Dr. Jim Ventresca has trained thousands of Chiropractors, Doctors, Acupuncturists, Medical Students, Nurses, and Other Health Care Professionals in virtually all aspects of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. A 1984 graduate and past faculty member of the New England School of Acupuncture, he was among the first group of acupuncturists in the United States to achieve National Board Certification as a Diplomate of Acupuncture, and licensure in the State of Massachusetts. Dr. Ventresca also holds licensure as a Doctor of Oriental Medicine, in New Mexico. In addition to practicing in busy clinical settings and teaching acupuncture since 1984, Dr. Jim is a co-founder of a publicly funded HIV/AIDS Substance Abuse Treatment Center. Dr. Jim has served on the Faculty of the International Academy of Medical Acupuncture, and as the Medical Director for Integrative Medicine at HealthSouth Rehabilitation Hospital, in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He served as Academic Dean for Southwest Acupuncture College from 1995 through 2001, where he also held the positions of Campus Director and was a Full Professor of Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine through 2008. Dr. Jim is currently the Director and Principle Instructor for AcuPractice® Seminars, providing classroom, distance, and online training programs in acupuncture and Oriental medicine to chiropractors, and other doctors.

Federico E. Villafañe DC, DACBR

Federico E. VillafañeDr. Villafañe is a board-certified chiropractic radiologist with a keen focus in acute/chronic pain and diagnosis. He was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico where he completed his bachelor’s in general science from the University of Puerto Rico. He then graduated with honors from Southern California University of Health Sciences in Los Angeles, California, with a degree in Doctor of Chiropractic (DC). Shortly after, he completed a 3-year diagnostic imaging residency at Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri, and is a Diplomate of the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology (DACBR). He then completed an 8-month fellowship on diagnostic musculoskeletal ultrasound. Dr. Villafañe provides diagnostic imaging interpretation for Gulf Coast MRI and Diagnostic centers in Clear Lake and Pasadena, Texas. Dr. Villafañe also has his private imaging consultation practice where he provides primary and secondary imaging interpretation to a variety of referring physicians. He taught as assistant professor teaching radiology and physical examination courses at Texas Chiropractic College at Pasadena, Texas. Additionally, he teaches online Continuing Education courses for numerous healthcare providers through He is currently the Director of the Doctor of Chiropractic Program at the Universidad Central del Caribe at Bayamon, Puerto Rico.

Ivo Waerlop, DC

Dr. Ivo Waerlop or "Dr Ivo" as most people call him, is a 1986 summa cum laude graduate of the New York Chiropractic College. He received his post-graduate neurology diplomate from Logan Chiropractic College; he became board certified in 1990. Dr Ivo works with a broad base of patients including Olympic level, professional and paraprofessional running, skiing and cycling athletes at his private practice in Dillon, Colorado. He is an adjunct faculty member for post graduate education with the National University of Health Sciences in Chicago, a life science faculty member of the Colorado Mountain College in Dillon, Colorado, and is on the post graduate faculty of, an online post graduate education center. He lectures nationally on foot-ankle and gait biomechanics, rehabilitation, acupuncture and beginning this fall, dry needling. He, along with Dr Shawn Allen authored the textbook: Pedographs and Gait Analysis: Clinical Applications and Pearls, along with numerous articles on lower extremity and gait mechanics. They also founded "The Gait Guys", a national and internet presence gait information resource and consortium. Dr Ivo is an avid telemark skier, runner and cyclist (he has also been known to play bass in several bands on more than one occasion). John Wallman, DC

Steven L. Weiner, MD, DC, DACBR

Dr. Steven L. Weiner Dr. Steven Weiner is a 1990 graduate of Northwestern College of Chiropractic, now a college of Northwestern Health Sciences University, where he earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree. He completed a three-year residency in chiropractic radiology at Los Angeles College of Chiropractic from 1992-95, a college of Southern California University of Health Sciences (SCUHS), where he qualified to sit for the American Chiropractic Board of Radiology certification exam, earning his board certification (DACBR) in 1995. Subsequently, Dr. Weiner served as Assistant Professor of Radiology at SCUHS and maintained a private radiological consultation practice.  Several years later, he returned to medical school at Ross University School of Medicine where he earned his Doctor of Medicine degree in 2010, graduating valedictorian of his medical class. He completed his internship in internal medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) in 2011.  He went on to complete two years of nuclear medicine residency in the department of radiology, nuclear medicine section, at MCW and its affiliated hospitals including Froedtert Hospital, a 516 bed academic tertiary-care regional level-one trauma center and comprehensive stroke center in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.  Dr. Weiner also completed both general medical and radiology-related rotations at the Zablocki Veterans Administration Medical Center, a tertiary care subspecialized Dean's Committee medical center, as well as at the Children's Hospital of Wisconsin, both located in Milwaukee.  He completed his medical radiology residency in 2016 at St. Vincent's Medical Center, the primary teaching hospital for the Frank H Netter MD School of Medicine at Quinnipiac University, in Bridgeport, CT, a 473-bed community teaching and referral hospital with a Level II trauma center. In addition to his board certification in chiropractic radiology, Dr. Weiner earned board certification in nuclear medicine by the American Board of Nuclear Medicine in 2015, as well as board certification in diagnostic radiology by the American Board of Radiology in 2016. He completed his neuroradiology fellowship at George Washington University Hospital in Washington, DC, a 371-bed academic tertiary care Level I trauma center and comprehensive stroke center, where fellows are trained in standard neurological CT and MRI protocols as well as advanced techniques such as functional MRI, diffusion tensor tractography, quantitative MRI for seizure and dementia evaluation, CSF flow imaging, MR spectroscopy, arterial spin labeling perfusion MRI, and dynamic contrast enhanced MRI.   Dr. Weiner has authored articles in both chiropractic and medical journals and has given many post-graduate continuing education lectures on the topics of musculoskeletal imaging, neuroradiology, head & neck imaging, nuclear medicine, and radiological differential diagnosis. Dr. Weiner is currently a staff radiologist at Hot Springs Radiology Services in Hot Springs, Arkansas, where he makes his home with his wife Melissa.
